Isn’t it gorg??  We love chalk paint finishes, but so many of them require 14 steps… Not our style 😉  We recently found a few products and tricks that helped us achieve the finish with minimal steps, and we LOVE the outcome!  Check out our how-to video here!

Here are links to all the products we used!

I also used the chalk paint finish on this centerpiece tray I made for my dining table!  This was so simple!

I built this with a few scraps in about 5 minutes!

I started with a scrap of plywood.  Any size will do!

Next I cut 1×3 boards the length of the shorter sides and attached them to the plywood using my Ryobi 18g brad nailer and wood glue.

Then, I just cut the longer 1×3 sides to sit flush on those boards.  I attached them the same way.

I used the chalk paint method we shared in our video to finish it!  And that hardware….

Those were a lucky Amazon find that I LOVE!!! You just screw attach the screws and then screw the cap on.  You can find them HERE!

I also found the leather on Amazon HERE!  I love it because it’s distressed and worn looking.
